
What do you do with a Florida Avocado?
I craved guacamole. Though I frequently crave guacamole. I think I’m secretly addicted to avocados. They are my comfort food. Publix did not have any ripe HASS avocados. So I had a lovely old man help me find a “perfectly ripe” Florida Avocado.
I took it home. I opened it. Huh? Then, I cut it, I scooped it. I tried to make guacamole.
I’m eating it now. Sighing. I had to add extra mayo to make it the right texture for guac. Then, it wasn’t as zesty and the additional mayo made it a bit too… mayo-ey for my tastes. Sigh.
I’m eating it, some hummus, sliced squash, pita and an Organic Raw Kombucha Original (http://www.synergydrinks.com/kombucha.html) at my desk right now for lunch. But it’s just not the same. I love you Florida. But I guess I’m a California girl at heart. At least when it comes to my avocados….
